Measure AA Partners: The Wonders of Water at Cooley Landing
Join Us at Cooley Landing for a Day of Fun, Fellowship, and Environmental Stewardship!
Saint Mark AME Zion Church is proud to partner with Anamatangi Polynesian Voices and El Comité de Vecinos de EPA for a special volunteer day at Cooley Landing! We invite you to roll up your sleeves for a joyful morning of restoring our beautiful marsh habitat—no experience necessary!
🌱 What to Expect:
We’ll start the day with light refreshments provided by one of our partner organizations before heading out to water native plants in the park’s restoration areas. Volunteers will work in flat terrain and may need to bend over or carry buckets of water for extended periods—great for those who enjoy active service!
Along the way, express your creativity at our watercolor art station, and cap off the morning with a refreshing water gun fight—fun for the whole family!
📍Meeting Location:
We will gather at the Cooley Landing Education Center (end of Bay Road). Bathrooms, cell service, Wi-Fi, and water fountains are available on-site.
🚗 Getting There:
Parking: Free parking is available in two lots—one near the Education Center and one near Ravenswood Preserve.
Bus: Route 296 (North) or 280 (East) to Bay/Pulgas. From there, it’s a short walk down Bay Road.
Bike: Bike racks are available near the Education Center.
🔧 What to Bring:
Reusable water bottle (pre-filled)
Snacks (optional)
Long pants & sleeves recommended
Closed-toe shoes that can get dirty
Hat/sunscreen or rain gear (weather dependent)
EpiPen or allergy medicine, if needed
We’ll provide gloves, tools, and additional snacks. Please prepare for sun exposure and limited cell reception in some areas.
📋 Registration & Waivers:
All participants must register individually via our [Eventbrite page] and complete an online waiver.
Youth under 18 need a parent/guardian to sign the waiver.
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
